Telescopes.net is the online telescope store where Woodland Hills Camera and Telescopes sells its products to the public. This website should not be confused with Telescopes.com, which is a different company entirely.

Telescopes.net (or Woodland Hills Camera and Telescopes) has been in business for over 57 years. Staying in business for that amount of time shows that they know a thing or two about telescopes and keeping customers satisfied.

It’s clear that Telescopes.net is serious about selling telescopes. On their telescope store's homepage you are immediately presented with a list of all their available types of telescopes. The list is quite large. All the standard telescopes are well represented here including popular models such as Dobsonian or refracting telescopes. They also have categories for types of telescopes that most people probably have never heard of.

Of course with a selection of telescopes this large, Telescopes.net also has a large selection of telescope accessories. Eyepieces and filters to tripods and mounts are all available through Telescopes.net.

As with most small online dealers, the payment options are somewhat limited. They still accept the four major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. They will also accept checks, money orders or purchase orders for established businesses. They have also just recently started accepting payments via PayPal.

The checkout process is somewhat different than other online telescope stores, or any typical internet checkout for that matter. The first question a customer is asked when checking out is if this order is being shipped to California. It then lets you choose your payment method and then finally it asks for your personal information. There isn’t anything wrong with the checkout method; it is just different than what most people will be expecting.

Orders being shipped to California will be subject to local California sales tax. All other orders will have no additional tax added to the order.

Telescopes.net offers customers the option of contacting their telescope store via email or telephone. Customers can contact Telescopes.net for any questions they might have concerning ordering or shipping. The same number and email is used for returns as well.

Telescopes.net allows customers 7 days after they receive their items to return or exchange them without a fee. If you try to return or exchange it between 7 and 30 days after receiving the item, you will be charged between a 10% and 20% restocking fee.

Telescopes.net doesn’t reveal many details about shipping options. In fact, even when you check out, the only item displayed for shipping is just a lone shipping charge. They don’t give you an option for express shipping.

Telescopes.net doesn't have the flashiest of websites, but it is clear that they are a small shop who caters to loyal customers. While their service in the store is most likely top notch, online customers don't seem to enjoy that same level of service.
